Who We Are
Dedicated to improving quality and outcome of behavioral health care, the Institute for Behavioral Healthcare Improvement (IBHI) is a not-for-profit, charitable corporation established to create more robust, effective quality improvement processes within behavioral healthcare. IBHI was
founded
in early 2004 as the National Initiative for Behavioral Health Care Quality Improvement, it is now incorporated as a charitable 501C (3) organization. In 2006, the newly organized
Board of Directors established the organizational:
AIM: To dramatically improve behavioral health care outcomes by creating a high performing national learning organization that invites organizations out of their historical silos. IBHI seeks to encourage a movement that translates a passion for quality improvement into sustained action.
This is being carried out through an
Action Plan to build organizational capability and connections. Each action area has a working group. All members are encouraged to participate in an area of interest.
Membership in IBHI is open to any person or organizations interested in development of quality improvement in the outcomes of mental and substance use treatment and the integration of special and general health care services.
